Local CIL 2018 - Call for community project submissions

Closed 23 Sep 2018

Opened 23 Jul 2018

Overview

The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is the primary mechanism for collecting contributions from development across the Borough. Introduced in 2015, CIL is a levy on new buildings and extensions used to fund infrastructure delivery. The purpose of CIL is to address funding gaps for infrastructure needed to support development and growth in Hounslow. 15% of CIL funds will be used to fund local community projects, where local communities and businesses get an opportunity to nominate projects that they would like to see delivered in their neighbourhood. If you would like to nominate a community project for CIL funding, you can do so using our online form.

What happens next?

Following the consultation closure on the 23rd September, all projects will be assessed for eligibility and will go through a democratic process to allocate funding. The Council's Infrastructure team will be in touch after this time.
