A Suicide Prevention Strategy for the London Borough of Hounslow 2022 – 2026

Closes 26 Aug 2022

Opened 15 Jul 2022

This draft strategy builds upon the previous Hounslow Suicide Prevention Strategy (2019-22).  Your comments will help to inform our draft strategy before it is finalised and published in October 2022.

The draft strategy is attached below.  We suggest you take a look at it before you begin the survey as some questions relate to it.

News:  MIND run a ‘Coping After Suicide’ service in Hounslow that offers emotional support and practical help for the family and friends of those bereaved by suicide. If you, or someone you know or work with would benefit from support, please visit the service website

Did you know?  The Zero Suicide Alliance offers a free, 20-minute online training course to help you recognise when someone is in distress, give you the confidence to talk about suicide and to signpost them to appropriate support services.  Have a look at the training page.

Why your views matter

Suicide in Hounslow cannot be reduced without the involvement of a wide range of partners, organisations and community groups.  We will only make a difference if we work together.  We need your opinions to help us shape the new strategy and create achievable priorities.
