Brentford Station CPZ Review - Informal Consultation

Closed 28 May 2021

Opened 4 May 2021

Results expected 25 Jun 2021

Overview

The council is conducting a review of the Brentford Station Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) due to the proposed housing development at Orchard Road car park and its potential impacts on parking within this CPZ.

The council is proposing to replace the parking spaces lost from the car park with 18 alternative spaces within the existing CPZ, where it is safe to do so. These additional spaces would be located on Boston Park Road, Orchard Road, Glenhurst Road and Station Road.

As the council continues to encourage more sustainable modes of transport, we would also like residents’ views regarding the introduction of electric vehicle charge points, car clubs and cycle parking within the CPZ.

Why we are consulting

The purpose of this review is to seek the views of those who live and work within the CPZ on its effectiveness, and to assess whether changes may be required in response to any existing concerns or potential issues relating to the Orchard Road car park development.

What happens next

The results of the consultation will be reported to local ward councillors for consideration and residents and businesses will be notified of the outcome in due course.
