Chiswick Mall Extension - Detailed Design Consultation

Closed 6 Aug 2021

Opened 9 Jul 2021

Results expected 10 Sep 2021

A petition was submitted to Hounslow Council in 2019 requesting the introduction of parking controls in Grantham Road in response to indiscriminate and obstructive parking occurring in the road.  The petition also indicated that the increased volume of non-residential parking in the road has reportedly increased difficulties for residents and their visitors as a result of the extension of the Chiswick Mall CPZ on Burlington Lane, visitors to Chiswick House & Gardens and commuters using Chiswick Station.

As a result, the council are now undertaking a ‘detailed design’ consultation with residents regarding the proposed inclusion of Grantham Road, Edensor Road and Edensor Gardens into the existing Chiswick Mall controlled parking zone (CPZ) to determine whether there is wider support for parking controls.

As the council continues to encourage more sustainable modes of transport, we would also like residents’ views regarding the introduction of electric vehicle charge points, car clubs and cycle parking within the CPZ.

Why your views matter

The purpose of this detailed design consultation is to give residents the opportunity to assess the Councils’ proposals before indicating whether you would support the CPZ or not.

The consultation letter along with a plan showing the proposed CPZ layout can be accessed in the "Related" section below.

What happens next

The results of the consultation will be reported to local ward councillors for consideration and residents and businesses will be notified of the outcome in due course.
