Danesbury Road 'area' Proposed CPZ

Closed 23 Mar 2020

Opened 24 Feb 2020

In response to requests from residents, the Council are consulting with Alfred Road, Ashfield Avenue, Beauclerk Close, Camden Avenue, Cardinal Road, Danesbury Road, Florence Road, Hanworth Road and Lafone Avenue regarding the possible introduction of a controlled parking zone (CPZ) or inclusion in the adjacent Kings Road ‘area’ CPZ.

In the event of there being support for the introduction of a CPZ separate to the Kings Road ‘area’ scheme, the consultation also seeks your views on the possible operational days and hours of any potential CPZ.

Why we are consulting

The purpose of the consultation is to give those who live within the area the opportunity to consider the council’s proposals before indicating whether they would support the introduction of a CPZ or otherwise.  Before completing the online questionnaire, please refer to the information included in the letter at the bottom of this page which provides a summary of how CPZs work and the costs involved.

What happens next

The results of the consultation will be reported to local ward councillors for consideration and residents and businesses will be notified of the outcome in due course.  If there is majority support for the introduction CPZ, and Councillors approve, further ‘detailed design’ consultation will be undertaken regarding the possible scheme design (parking bay locations, etc.) and specific operational times.
