The council is currently seeking views on its proposal to introduce a road hump in Hampton Lane (opposite No. 80 Hampton Lane) and widen the footway on Hampton Lane on the approach to Riverdale Road.
The road hump will be in the form of a 75mm high kerb to kerb flat top road hump to provide a level crossing facility for pedestrians and reduce vehicle speeds. The footway will be widened by approximately 2m to improve the pedestrian environment.
These proposals will enhance safety for all road users on Hampton Lane through promoting reduced vehicle speeds, which will particularly benefit pedestrians desiring to cross Hampton Lane and Riverdale Road.
Please view the consultation plan below, and a copy of the consultation letter can be found in 'related documents' at the bottom of this page.
Before progressing this scheme, we are keen to hear your views on the proposals by completing the short survey below.
If you require any information in an alternative format, please let us know.
The deadline for this consultation is: Monday, 8 February 2021.
We are not able to respond directly to every respondent, but all feedback will be summarised and presented to your local councillors along with our recommendations.
We will update the webpage with that information once they have made a decision, which is likely to be by Summer 2020.
Thank you for taking the time to participate in this consultation and we look forward to receiving your completed questionnaire.
