Thornbury Avenue Area Controlled Parking Zone Review

Closed 30 Nov 2021

Opened 2 Nov 2021

Overview

Following the introduction of the Thornbury Avenue ‘area’ controlled parking zone (CPZ) in February 2017, and its subsequent expansions in December 2019 and August 2020, the council is now commencing a review of the scheme. The purpose of this review is to seek the views of those who live or work within the zone on the effectiveness, or otherwise, of the CPZ and whether changes are required.

The CPZ operates between Monday-Friday, 10am-Noon and incorporates Aplin Way (part), Church Road, Kilberry Close, Moreton Avenue, Oaklands Close, Osterley Road, Ridgeway Road (part), St Christopher’s Close, Thornbury Avenue and Thornbury Road (part) and all residents of those roads are encouraged to respond.  Residents of Caroline Close, Deborah Close and St Andrew’s Close, who have permit eligibility for the CPZ, are also encouraged to respond.

We would welcome your views on, but not limited to, whether the CPZ has improved the parking situation, if the scheme should be retained and whether the existing operational times are effective.
