Overview

We would like your views on proposals to create a zebra crossing on Twickenham Road, Isleworth, between Bankside Close and Lynton Close.

The proposal is to convert the existing informal pedestrian crossing facilities on Twickenham Road into a zebra crossing - further details are available under the 'related' section below. The aim of this scheme is to improve pedestrian safety, particularly before & after schools start and finish when the peak pedestrian movement is experienced, and encourage more local trips to be made on foot.

Parking availability in this area would not be affected, as the zebra crossing zig-zag road markings will replace the current “No waiting at any time” restrictions (double yellow lines) at this location.  However, loading availability would be reduced as there would be no loading at any time on the zig-zag road markings.
